Morgan City resident Dolores Hill Henderson worked to enhance the education and lives of at-risk children in her community. Henderson formed an educational enrichment group in 1980 intended to enrich the academic, artistic, literary, social and cultural experiences of at-risk children in the tri-city area of Morgan City, Berwick and Patterson. Henderson passed away in 2015.
